“Qualifications of a Deacon.”

I Timothy 3:8-9

I. He must be grave – honorable, have respect, have character.

II. Must not be double tongued.

Not deceitful with his words.

A deceiver will hurt the cause of Christ.

Proverbs 20:19

III. Not given to much wine.

Never should alcohol be their beverage.

Proverbs 20:1

IV. Not to be greedy of filthy lucre.

Man of integrity with his money.

He should be a minister of the church and a deacon for the cause.
