I. Earthly lifetime.
This life is not the same for all people.
This life is temporal.
This life is where you make preparations for eternal life
II. Evangelism.
He knew they were not coming because they hadn’t responded.
The word was preached but they didn’t want to hear.
III. Two eternities.
It shows the stark contrast between heaven and hell.
Lazarus is comforted but the rich man is tormented.
Your most precious thing is your own soul.
Do you know the Lord?
