II Kings 2:9-14

Sometimes God has something special for you because you were at the right place at the                 right time.

Some people are at church but don’t see the things going on around them.

Elisha had seen other things before he saw “it.”

I. The benefits of being a loner.

Sometimes doing things by yourself is a good thing.

Sometimes it is just leaving the ones that don’t want to and just do it.

He was willing to go alone, so he could go further.

II. The blessings of being a learner. Vs. 9

Elijah poured everything he knew into Elisha.

III.  The burden of being a leader.

He didn’t know if he was going to be the leader until he smote the water.

The first time he had the mantle put on him it was recruitment.

The second time the mantle was put on him it was replacement.

Do you see the opportunity to serve God?
