I. Personal Testimony of Jabez.

     means causing pain; sorrow

     He was more honorable than his brethren you should honor your elders.

     Maybe Jabez had a physical weakness.

     Remember those new converts that need discipleship.

     He was a man of humility.

II. Prayer Thought of Jabez.

     He didn’t want his heart to be grieved.

     A. He wanted God to bless him.

          There are many in the Bible that are blessed – Saved, Good, Witnessing etc.

     B. He wanted God to enlarge his coast.

          God can enlarge our heart. Psalms 119:132

     C. He wanted God’s hand on him.

          He wanted God to keep him from evil.
