To sift – an inward agitation: to try one’s faith to the verge of overthrow.
I. The dew consideration of the sifting.
What does it mean to be sifted?
Everyone is sifted in a different way.
Peter followed Him afar off.
He sat down among them.
II. The destroyer
He desires to have you.
III. The deliverer. vs. 32
He didn’t just have anyone praying for Him. The Lord prayed for him.
The Lord prayed that his faith would not fail.
IV. A divine revelation.
He told Peter what was going to happen to him.
Sifting happens cruelly.
