I Cor. 3:13 “Try every man’s work” – same as proving

Being found blameless – a life that is unreprovable

Deacon’s wives:

Be grave – honourable; good reputation

Not slanderers – don’t be a false accuser

sober – serious; mild; not extreme

Faithful in all things – to the Lord, to your husband, and to the church.
