David was not perfect, but God used him
He had a desire to served God
As a young man in the fields and on the battlefield
He served God under the present King even though he had been anointed as king.
David trusted in God’s judgment realizing he would not be able to build the temple.
David had a desire to do something for God.
He wanted to build the house of God because he was at peace.
David had a desire to worship the God he served.
Solomon trusted God because of the influence of David.
What is going to be your legacy?
