“Don’t Make the Lord Go Out Against You”

Ruth 1:1-13

The famine in our land is not food, but it is of the Word of God.

  I. Because you leave what you know is right.

      They left the house of bread to go to Moab. Amos 8:11

II. When you leave what is right, you have to make a choice to do wrong.

      When you make that choice, you will live with it for the rest of your life.

III. Because you stayed because of the influence:
A. The influence of the family.

        B. The influence of friends.

 IV. Because there is a pain in Moab that you fail to see.

        If Moab was so good, why did Ruth and Orpah want to leave?

  V. Because you will be broken over your wasted fruit. VSS. 11-12

       Naomi let the people know that she couldn’t help them anymore. Vs. 13

VI. Because you’re not guaranteed to make it back.

      “I went out full, but I came back empty.”
